In this recipe, it’s paired with a rich brown sugar syrup and finished with oat milk for a creamy, perfectly sweet iced latte. It’s love at first sip!
Inspired by a 2021 TikTok video from a Starbucks employee showcasing the drink before its launch, I couldn’t wait and created my version.

INGREDIENTS
- 4 tbsp lightly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 6 tbsp water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 double shots of espresso
- a mason jar or cocktail shaker with a few ice cubes
- 2 glasses filled half way with ice
- oat milk (as much as you need to top up the cup)
RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
1. In a small pan or pot over medium-high heat, combine the syrup ingredients, whisking thoroughly.
2. Once it begins to simmer, reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sugar is fully dissolved and the syrup slightly thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.

3. Brew two shots of espresso or about 1/2 cup of strong coffee.
4. Pour it into a mason jar with 3 tablespoons of the syrup and a few ice cubes. Shake vigorously for 1-2 minutes.
5. Fill glasses with more ice, divide the shaken espresso mixture between them, and top with oat milk. Stir and enjoy!
