The fun pancakes which are famous as "Fluffy Japanese Pancakes" are an easy yet yummy breakfast option for you to try out on every morning. These pancakes have thick and soft consistency and taste amazing. Here is how you can make those pancakes, lazy to busy mornings, suit for everyday breakfast plate with some fruit toppings or any sweet syrup of your choice!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 egg yolk
- 3 egg whites
- 4 tablespoons unsalted melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- Maple syrup
- Cooking spray or butter to apply on pan

Method
- Mix dry ingredients which are flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together in a large bowl.
- Whisk the milk, egg yolk, melted butter and vanilla in a bowl until combined.
- Stir the milk mixture into the flour mixture and combined well.
- Then you need to beat those extracted egg whites and cream of tartar in a separate bowl on medium to high speed until stiff peaks form.
- Add the egg white form into the flour-milk mixture and gently fold until combined.
- Heat the non-stick pan and apply cooking spray or some butter on it.
- You need to add good full spoon of the mixture on the heating pan and let it cook slowly on low to medium heat. Make sure to cover the pan with a lid. Once the bottom part slightly cooked, add another scoop of mixture on the top of it and cover with a lid. If you want it to be much fluffier you can add another few scoops and cook until the top of pancakes slightly turn into golden color.
- You can server by adding fruits, whipped cream or sweet syrup of your choice. Enjoy the meal!
